For all the haters.

I'm sure you have all heard your mother say "if you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all" ...Well lucky for you there is plenty of music to say it for you!

Just leave it to Kanye to do the talking for you...
Runaway (feat. Pusha T) by Kanye West

If you prefer to be a little more blunt, Kate Nash will gladly let them know how you feel.

And never be afraid to just tell the truth:
You're a Jerk by The New Boyz

Sure, hate is a strong word... but hey, sometimes we have strong feelings.
Hate (I Really Don't Like You) by Plain White T's

...And this is just a tiny spec of all the options out there. I mean seriously, you can say just about anything you want without actually saying anything at all. Just send 'em a song ;)

Well have a wondeful day!

alexis marie jones.

In my very first post I mentioned my roommate Lexi, and how much I love her. And I think she is just that amazing that I am dedicating this whole post to her. So let me just start by saying that I LOVE living with her! She is one of the nicest and friendliest people that I know, which are two things I would do well to learn from her. Also, she is very understanding and a great person to talk to. She is always there for me whenever I have a problem, and I can't thank her enough for that. She is a genuinely inspiring person, and her love for life is extremely contagious. Seriously, I think that every person should be able to have a Lexi for a roommate. It is awesome!

We spend way too much time together on our computers, either making dance videos, taking crazy pictures, or skyping from across our table... it's just what we do!

And at times we have kissfests! They do make for some lovely photos for sure.

This was out first breakfast together in our new apartment. We made eggs and toast, which happens to be Lexi's favorite meal. Eggs are most definantly her favorite food, she smile everytime they are mentioned.

Living with Lexi has also caused some rather unexpected changes; for example, I have begun to laugh like her. It is very strange, but I often find myself giggling just like her. Obviously when spending that much time with someone it's inevitable that you will pick up on some of their traits, but I didn't expect it to happen so quickly. I also would have never anticipated my laugh to be the first to change. Oh well, it's hehe from me for now on!

just do it.

This is a new start of my life. I woke up this morning and realized I am looking at a blank slate. I have a new home, a new school, opportunities for new relationships... I am not just turning over a new page, I am starting a new book. Looking back on my high school experience I see a lot of wasted time. Too much time wishing things were different or dreading what I couldn't change. So this phase of my life will be different.

We all have things that we wish we could do, so my question to all of us is, why are you not doing it? Write it down, make a list and then do it! When I graduate in four years I hope to leave with a lot more then just a diploma. It doesn't matter how silly you look or how stupid you may feel cause ten years down the road all that will be gone. All that will be left is whether you did or didn't; either the regrets of never having the courage to do, or the satisfaction of knowing you did.

Here is my list. It's crazy and random, but these are the things I wish i could do, and in the near future I will. My list:
-beatbox
-kickboxing
-longboard
-play guitar
-break dance
-rock climbing
-yoga
-straight A student
-I have always wanted to be able to do the splits
-Be able to do at least one pull-up
And this is only the beginning. In the meantime I want to work to improve the talents I already have and make them something to be proud of. These include tennis, piano, and singing. Just remember, nothing is out of reach. Its just a matter of asking yourself, "How bad do you want it?"

hello.

Hello, I am Erika Hansen. I have tried many times to make a blog and have yet to succeed and write regularly in any one of them. But I am determined to try and make this one for real.

So let me begin by telling a little about myself... I'm currently living in Tempe, AZ and going to ASU where I am studying Interior Design. Go Sundevils! haha I live with Lexi Jones who is a truly amazing person, and inspires me to become a better person daily. I love her, she is just awesome! I am loving the college life and finally being out on my own in the world. My one regret... I'm carless :(  I love art and music, and attempt to write music, not that I am any good, but I do enjoy it. Also, I love cream cheese. I go through phases of obsession with it, and I am defiantly having one of those phases right now.

I will try and write and keep up with this blog for a change. Wish me luck! And have an excellent day! :)
